Has your firm worked on any publicly funded projects?

Recently we have provided preliminary land mapping and investigation for the following list of school improvement projects: Channel Islands HS, Loma Vista Elementary and Ventura HS. I have worked with the cities of Simi Valley, Oxnard, Ventura and Santa Barbara on various capital improvement projects.




Do you prepare Parcel Maps and Tract Maps?

Yes, Licensed surveyors are the only professionals by law which can prepare and sign these maps (unless your a pre-1983 civil engineer).




Do you handle Lot Line Adjustments?

Yes, Licensed surveyors are the only professionals by law which can prepare and sign Lot Line Adjustments(unless your a pre-1983 civil engineer).




How much do you charge for your services?

That depends on the type of project. Email or fax us your project details (include as much info as possible) and we will typically get you a quote by the next day.




How long does it take to process a tentative subdivision map?

This varies based on local agency review policies and project size, however, it usually takes between 3-6 months.




What is your main business focus?

Land surveying, tentative subdivision mapping, final maps, legal description preparation, planning, topographic mapping and other related fields.




What are your qualifications?

Our company's principal has been working on private and public sector development projects for over 20 years in the Southern California area. He has been a licensed Professional Land Surveyor since 1988. He is the current 2001 president of the California Land Surveyors Association (CLSA) for Channel Islands.




I'm an engineer, do you do contract work?

Yes, depending on the project, we can assist you on a T&M or fixed fee basis.




I need a Topographic Map compiled, is this something your company can prepare?

Yes, our company prepares field topographic mapping, aerial mapping and digital aerial photographs type projects.




Do you prepare ALTA Surveys?

Yes, this is one our many expert areas.




I need an Access Easement drawn up, do you do these?

Yes, we prepare legal descriptions for access, utilities, right-of-ways and public land transfers.




I have a boundary dispute with my neighbor, what should I do?

If the dispute is less than a foot or so, it may be more costly to hire a surveyor than it's worth. If the disputed area is large, have a surveyor do a topographic survey to show the encroaching features (such as walls, fences etc.) If this will end up in court then a government reviewed and approved Record of Survey should be filed.




Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, licensed as a professional land surveyor since 1988 and we carry E&O and General Liability insurance.
